Optical Shop Solution
Software for optical shops — the counter and the fitting bench.
An optical shop is two businesses in one: a store that sells frames, lenses and contact lenses, and a workshop where spectacles are fitted, adjusted and repaired. Kiwikit runs both from one login.

What is Optical Shop software?
Optical shop software manages the stock of frames, spectacle lenses, contact lenses and solutions, bills each sale, and keeps track of spectacles that are being made or repaired until the customer collects them. Kiwikit does this in the browser: stock and GST billing for the counter, and a job card with a WhatsApp “ready” message for every pair that goes to the fitting bench.

Frames, lenses and the pairs on the bench
The shelf and the fitting bench both need a record. Kiwikit keeps them in one place, so a sale, an order and a repair all end up on the same bill book.
Frames, lenses and contact lens stock
Full rim, half rim and rimless frames, single vision, bifocal and progressive lenses, daily, monthly and coloured contact lenses, solutions and cases — each a stock category of its own.
Spectacle lenses sold by the pair
Lenses are sold as a pair, not one at a time, so stock and bills count the way the shop actually sells them.
Repairs and adjustments on a job card
Broken frame, loose screw, damaged nose pad, temple or arm, alignment and lens replacement — every pair left at the counter gets a job card and a promised date.
What the customer left with you
Note the existing spectacles, case, prescription slip or previous eye-test report the customer handed over, so nothing goes missing between counter and bench.
“Your spectacles are ready” on WhatsApp
The customer gets a message when the pair is ready, and a private link to check the status and the balance.
Eye test and fitting charges
Eye test, lens fitting, frame repair and adjustment, screw and nose-pad replacement, lens replacement and cleaning are ready as labour items with your own prices.

What your shop gets when you pick Optical Shop
At first login you tell Kiwikit what kind of shop you run. It then loads these device types, their brands and 47 models, the common problems, labour charges and stock categories — and the job card shows only the fields your shop needs. You can edit or add to every list, pick more than one kind of shop, and remove one later without losing data.

Orders and repairs
Every pair that leaves the counter comes back on time
A pair of spectacles that is being made or repaired is a job, not a sale. Kiwikit gives it a job card with the frame brand and colour, a promised date and the advance taken, so the counter can answer “is it ready?” without searching the drawer.
Kiwikit does not store eye-power readings as separate fields. Keep the prescription slip the customer hands over noted on the job card, and write the values in the job card remarks if you want them on record.
How it works
One job, five clear stages.
- 01
Order or intake
Frame, lens type, what was handed over and the advance.
- 02
Fitting
The pair goes to the fitting bench with a promised date.
- 03
Quality check
Fit and finish checked before it is marked ready.
- 04
Ready
WhatsApp message sent; the link shows the balance.
- 05
Delivery
Balance collected, bill printed, case handed over.
Inside the software
The actual screens, set up for Optical Shop
Not mockups — real Kiwikit screens running on a sample shop with made-up customers.

Every job on one card
Open any job from the list: the device, its serial number, the problem and what the customer handed over, with every action one tap away.

Your devices, brands and models, ready
Device types, brands and models for Optical Shop come loaded and linked, so the counter picks instead of typing. Edit or add to any list.
Every job on one screen
The job card list is the same for every kind of shop: status cards across the top double as filters, and every row shows the customer, the device, the technician and what is still due.
- Search by serial number, customer, mobile number or job number
- Filter by Pending, In Progress, Ready, Delivered or Cancelled
- Advance taken at intake is deducted on the final bill
- GST or plain bills, on a thermal printer or A4

One system, not five apps
What runs alongside your repairs
Stock & spare parts
Parts and products with batches, serial numbers and more than one warehouse. Adjustments, transfers and reconciliation are built in, so the shelf and the system agree.
Purchase & suppliers
Purchase orders, supplier bills and receipts, returns and debit notes. Supplier balances stay linked to what they supplied.
Sales counter
Quotations, invoices, delivery notes, returns and credit notes for what you sell over the counter, in the same system as the repairs.
Accounting & GST
Cash book, ledger, expenses, bank accounts and reconciliation, receivables and payables — the books are a by-product of daily work.
Technicians & profit
Assign each job to a technician and see revenue, parts cost and profit per job and per technician.
CRM & follow-ups
Leads, customers and follow-ups with due dates and overdue flags, for the customers you call back rather than wait for.
Before you start

- Optional: a 2-inch or 3-inch thermal printer for receipts
- Optional: a barcode label printer for job stickers
Plans include 4 users and one shop location, and start at ₹1,499 for three months or ₹4,999 for a year. Full breakdown on the pricing page.
An honest read
Is this right for your shop?
It fits well when
- You sell frames and lenses and also fit and repair spectacles
- Customers call to ask whether their glasses are ready
- You want frame and lens stock to match what is on the shelf
- You need GST bills for some customers and plain bills for others
It is probably not for you when
- You need a clinical record of eye-power readings with charts — Kiwikit is a shop system, not clinic software
- Your shop has no reliable internet; there is no offline desktop version
Frequently asked questions
Questions about Optical Shop software
Can Kiwikit manage frame and lens stock?
Yes. Frames (full rim, half rim, rimless), spectacle lenses (single vision, bifocal, progressive), contact lenses (daily, monthly, coloured), solutions and accessories are stock categories, and spectacle lenses are sold by the pair.
Does it store the customer's eye prescription?
Not as separate power fields. You can note that the customer handed over a prescription or eye-test report, and write the values in the job card remarks. Clinics that need a full eye-test record need dedicated clinic software.
Can I track spectacle repairs and orders?
Yes. Every pair left at the counter gets a job card with a promised date, the advance taken and what was handed over, and the customer gets a WhatsApp message when it is ready.
Can I bill eye tests and fitting charges?
Yes. Eye test, lens fitting, frame repair and adjustment, screw and nose-pad replacement, lens replacement and cleaning come ready as labour items, with your own prices.
